We Welcome our Newest Therapist Julie Eckhardt!

​Julie Eckhardt recently started at Southwest Florida Christian Counseling. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s most challenging moments. Julie’s expertise spans a variety of clinical settings—including residential programs, outpatient clinics, schools, homes, hospitals, nursing facilities, and hospice care—where she has provided compassionate care for those facing mental health and substance use issues, as well as co-occurring disorders.

Julie specializes in trauma recovery, grief, loss, and relationship counseling, drawing on a diverse therapeutic toolkit that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and person-centered approaches. She is known for her warm, empathetic presence and her ability to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each client, whether in individual, couples, family, or group therapy.

A graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, and holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Marquette University, Julie brings both depth of knowledge and heart to her practice. Her strong Christian faith has been a steadfast anchor throughout her personal and professional life, and she recognizes spiritual strength as a vital resource for many of her clients.

Give to Support a Client Who Can't Afford Counseling
Donations are Tax Deductible 

​We are a 501 (c)(3) organization. Donations to SWFL Christian Counseling 360 are tax deductible. Each month we receive calls from clients who have counseling needs, but can't afford it. As a result, we have set up a "First Fruits" fund to support these clients in need. We have partnered with Givelify. They are an organization that works with many churches and non-profits in order to raise money. You can either click on the Giveify tab through the website below, or you can give quickly through our customized phone app.To donate using the phone app, download the free Givelify app onto your phone. Once you have it downloaded and open the app, you can do a search for Southwest Florida Christian Counseling. Once you click on the name, it will take you to our customized app. We are excited about offering you this opportunity to partner with us to support clients who may normally not be able to access counseling services. We will also provide you with a receipt for your tax records. ​

Partnership With Music for the Soul 

We have worked with Music for the Soul for years in partnering to create songs that are applicable for a variety of counseling issues. Greg Hasek is on the advisory board and has worked closely with Steve Siler from Music for the Soul and has advised in the writing of various songs over the years. ​Music can be a powerful tool in the healing process especially when healing from trauma. Music has the ability to reach the right brain where trauma is stored in ways that words often cant. Words or information are stored in the left brain. Steve Siler explains this well in this video. 
Music for the Soul is about to release their new Innocent Child film that is a powerful project that focuses on sex abuse recovery. You can read more about the project by clicking here. You can also soon watch the movie at the same website. The movie will be primarily focused on women healing from sex abuse but it is their hope to create a separate project that focuses on men also. In the mean time we were able to advise in creating two songs especially for men. The names of the songs are Underneath the Noise and Broken Boy. You can listen to the songs on the players below.

​Telehealth Video Therapy



​We are also offering the Telehealth video therapy option for clients through Doxy.me, which is HIPAA compliant. We can also provide phone counseling for those that can't make it to the office. Please talk to our receptionist or your therapist for more information.

​Current clients can request or change an appointment from the client portal. This is an easy and convenient way when you don't have time to call our office on a busy day. Click Here to go to the client portal. Please note your password for the portal is time limited.
